Curvature
Curvature bound subdivisions are designed so that they take advantage of a feature related to the main surface intrinsic curvature. An example is the Monge proposal for the vault of the hall for the debates of the Assemblée Nationale architectural competition (Rabasa Díaz, 2011), where the division lines are carefully placed so that the contact faces produced are developable, which would influence positively the planning, cutting and accuracy of the voussoirs. Curvature may also work as an input for the size of the voussoirs, in order to decrease their size in tight curvature areas so that the built blocks conform as closely as possible to the original ideal thrust surface.
