3D carve
This type of fabrication is very similar to sculpting, thus accumulating a large corpus of knowledge and practice throughout history. Classical stone sculpture most common process is carving, drawing from a block and achieving the intended shape, grabbed directly from Earth’s bedrock. Carving has at its best advantage the possibility of endless geometric shapes and as a disadvantage the time consuming process of chipping away every bit of material.
