Concave
A concave perimeter polygon defines a non-convex set in which a line connecting two of its points may contain points not in the set. These kind of voussoirs present depressions when observed from outside. Although these depressions may cause weak points under compression forces and pose problems in certain materialisation strategies, these geometries are useful for interlocking arrangements which strengthens bonds and reduce slippage, such as in the case of Smeaton’s Tower or MLK Jr. Vault.
