Convex
The definition of a convex planar polygon states that “it contains all the line segments connecting any pair of its points” (Weisstein, 2019a). These shapes, in opposition to concave polygons, never feature internal angles greater than 180o. Present in regular or voronoi tilings, convex polygons exhibit less fragilities in their geometry and are naturally efficient under compression forces, just as a honeycomb arrangement.
